Extravagant Love

Friday the 29th of March 2013 what a significant day for a lot of people in the community, as we do for most schools we set aside a day/ time where we come and bring our loaves and fishes for outreach fees, but this one was different this one was more sacrificial well for me anyway. People gave money, surf boards, computers, different things to help each other get to the places God was sending them to be missionaries; it’s just like in Acts when they gave all that they had, no one was in need, because the community was a giving generation. Remembering this reminds me of where we want to go where we want to take this community of Jesus Lovers to a place where God has a resting place where people feel safe and cared for. This is the community I live in one where we are kind to each other, we speak words of life and not death, we treat the different sexes with respect and honour; yes we make mistakes but we ask forgiveness. Oh what a blessing it is to be here.

Sacrificial love was given like our rights to have something, we gave up our families our right to be married our dreams and things that were self-seeking. And Gods heart rejoiced over our love given back to him, for he is MOST worthy of ALL Praise. Psalm 45 vs. 10-11 says “listen O daughter consider and give ear: forget your people and your father’s house. The King is enthralled by your beauty; honour him for he is your Lord.” We studied this in worship with the Word on Thursday we need to let go of our former ways or own thought patterns, we have been accepted and adopted in to a new family Jesus’ family where there is a new way of living, We get to live in this Kingdom as Sons and Daughters, Princes, and Princesses, we need to learn the new way of the kingdom it is counter cultural to that of this world, where the last will be first and the first will be last, weaknesses can be used to show strength.

I went forward and shared my heart that which the Lord had asked me to give up ‘my right to marry and my right to fulfil my own dreams without God in them’. I'm believing and growing in my faith that, that  which he has placed in my heart to fulfil will come to pass in HIS timing and by HIS will, and all things will be swept away that are not from him. It says in Zechariah 4:6 “not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord.” After I did this and so many other people got up I felt such peace such freedom to do what God wanted me to do, what that is I don’t rightly know at this stage; but he is revealing to me his mysteries a little at a time. (as much as my character can handle without becoming prideful). I love God so much I will go where he sends me,  do what he asks me to do, speak to whom he wants me to speak too, oh the depths of my heart overflow with love for him. Bring on his Return.

Identity and Kingdom Culture

Orphans vs. Sons of God
Sin created the orphan spirit when we chose to eat the apple in the Garden of Eden. So because of the orphan-ness of this world people try to be like God, to take his place in their lives as father, provider, saviour, King, carer, supreme ruler, authority and so much more. “Jesus did not consider equality with God something to be grasped.” (Phil 2 vs. 6) Yet he was God, but he came to show the way through humility and showing love to the least of these. How much more should we who are made up of many numbers (the church) be like Jesus in his servant hearted way. Even unto death he did ONLY what he saw the father doing and said what his father told him. He showed us what being a Son of God is. Ephesian 1 vs. 4-5 says “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with his pleasure and will” So we are made with a DNA that longs for unity, oneness with three parts to it, (our bodies, soul and spirit). So in connection with human beings we are created to be in relationship in three parts male, female and God. Man wasn’t lonely when he was in the garden he was alone which is different because God saw, that he in himself had three parts Father Son and Holy Spirit. Man had masculinity and feminity in him but there was still something missing. So God took from the male a part of the feminine make up and created female in human form. But they were both Adam, it wasn’t until they had both eaten from the apple that anything happened, and Eve wasn’t named until Adam rejected her as the woman and accused her of giving him the fruit. God was always meant to be in the picture of who we are part of our make up because we are created in his image and likeness. He is the author and creator of who we are. He knows our inner most being because created us he knows that you struggle with this or that, he knows you have sickness or get tired easily. He created you to reach out to him for wisdom and understand in how to live life his perfect way. Being given this revelation that we are sons and daughters of God knowing our original design gives fresh understanding and freedom from the lies that we are surrounded by. Coming into the light brings overwhelming love joy and peace, because it’s the truth and it sets you free. We need to keep reminding ourselves and each other of whose we are and what it means to be a son and daughter of God. Read scripture it describes who we are in Christ Jesus.

A culture of Honour and the meaning of a name. I have been pondering and been given revelation from my father in Heaven of the culture of the Kingdom and how we are meant to be “in this world but not of it” (Romans 12vs.2). We can practically apply the culture of the Kingdom by serving and loving others. For me I find the words we speak to be very important because they either bring life or death. That is all we do with our tongue up-lift or encourage or criticize and put down. Thus I am weary of what I say to people. While also wanting to help create an environment, a characteristic in the community I live in where ‘I love you’ is meant as brotherly and sisterly love. Where you are free to say ‘I love you’ and not be scarred that they may think you like them and want to marry them. To shake off the lies attached to God’s words. That religion has made nasty in our mouths. The other day I learnt what my full name meant and it’s surreal to think that when my parents first saw me they prophesied life over me, destiny over me. So my name is Renee—Born again. Elizabeth—God’s promise, I am God’s daughter. Anne- Grace and favour, prayer. Pearce—Rock. Amazing right? I feel these words are becoming fruition as I use the giftings and talents God has placed in me to excel in, and reap (which is my initials) the good harvest.

Ponderings and words of wisdom from the Song of Songs 3/3/13 Renee- re: Mike Bickle The pleasurable knowledge of God’s word gives us language to who He is. Song of Solomon describes the longings of the bride and the groom for each other. It reveals the adoration and depth of character built as one gets to know the other. We find that as we meditate and ponder the true essence of the bridegroom the internal beings of who he is gets caught in our skin; by his perfume; to reveal the true nature of the bride. Verse two of chapter one says “let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love is more delightful than wine.” His word comes from his mouth; the declaration of himself is expressed through his word and imparts his love towards the bride. As the Father loves the son so the son loves you. This is described and expressed through his words, which is his adoration of the unity of God, Son and Spirit. We get the joy of experiencing this love because we are the one that it gets imparted too, expressed upon, given too. The revelation of the love of the Father is what our hearts long for, it seeks after it intensely, and nothing can satisfy it but from the love of God. Many people try to find it in the pleasures of this world, the desire to be loved and to give love, the passion to pursue enjoyable things, like laughter, intimacy, new experiences, beauty and so much more. But these are to be done and found through the unity with the Spirit the Son and the Father. The knowledge that it’s not about the individual person but the whole body of Christ has been misrepresented and seen as a possession in this world’s natural culture. The evil one of the world deceives us to believe that we can find pleasure in wickedness outside of the being of Jesus. But it isn’t true for no matter the wine we experience or the senses used to intoxicate us with love. It is the love of God that will last forever and will keep us longing and seeking and hungering after the truth. Even the pleasures of blessings that God gives us through financial wealth, good relationships, and ministry opportunities cannot equal to or quench the desire to be loved and to give love. The superior pleasures of his word are better than the pleasures of this world. We need to acknowledge that the pleasures of the world are pleasurable but there is a force more powerful more satisfying more fulfilling than those pleasures. Intensely experiencing Jesus’ words can be unfolded by praying his word back to him, this is the superior pleasure of his mouth. A circle complete, a moment of true satisfaction, and the taste of the food he gives to us at his banquet table. Just as wine exhilarates the heart in the natural, so the words of God wow and excite us, in our lovesickness for the bridegroom in the spiritual. The longings of his heart to be revealed in us and the longings of our heart to see him come in the natural sense is so intense that lovesickness prevails and keeps us going in this life on the earth. God says I want people who are lovesick for me not be thriving in ministries and neglecting me in the secret place. From the lovesickness of God we give out of affection based obedience not feelings or religion based love. For a lovesick bride will do anything for their bridegroom. The standard of love, the insight and knowledge of how we love is found in the way the trinity love each other. It is revealing God, loving God and revealing it in your spirit. John 15:9, 17:25-26. When there is a cry in your heart to obey that is where God’s grace, his fellowship is given and he can express his enjoyment in us. We need to understand that there is a difference between spiritual immaturity and rebellion, because we are loved by God we are His favourite and he likes us. But when we get disciplined we feel that God doesn’t like us or he’s anger at us. God gives correction because he loves us and wants the best for us it is different from his anger- his anger is towards the rebels his wrath comes upon the rebellion. God likes us he just doesn’t like all that we do and so he disciplines in love. Just as a parent loves the child they discipline the action of the child, and brings correction to the way they do things. Revelation based passion for Christ- it takes the power of God to love God. It takes God to love God and it is in the understanding of the Knowledge of who God is that we are able to love him. Thus the importance to know God and make him known in our lives through the love we give to others. That we ourselves have received from the bridegroom. As we ponder and mediate on the image and perfume of Christ; which is his personality his beauty; we begin to get revelations of who we are as the bride of Christ. It’s the essence of the being of Christ revealed in mankind that emanates the love of God. And the perfume is not the activity in the physical that happens but the feeling and attention that is directed to Christ. It is the internal properties of a flower that creates the perfume that invigorates us to the smell and taste of pleasure, of delight, of enjoyment in the external flower. The smell draws us to the external flower. So it is with Jesus we see and smell, taste and experience his perfume his personality his beauty and are overcome with joy and excitement by his being both the external and internal. Thus the importance that we as humans need to be good reflectors of Christ, to give off the perfume we have experienced of Jesus so that it too will draw others to the nature of Jesus. We are the physical representation of Jesus just as Jesus is the physical representation of the Father. 2 Corinthians 6 talks about how his perfume becomes her perfume as it saturates her life. That as we walk in righteousness, walk out the kingdom culture of being truthful in speech, sincere in love, patient and full of kindness.... we will be pouring out his name the perfume, his being. God has made his name the only name that can be poured out, because it has sweetness to it a sent that attracts us, the father has done this through declaring and making His name praise in the world. As we accept Jesus’ free gift of eternal life and take on his yoke of himself we take his name; just as when you get married the woman takes the name of the husband; so too do we take on his name. As the perfume gets in our spirit it transforms us to the likeness of Jesus. The perfume draws us to it, so too does God draw us to himself, to experience in his chambers and his presence, in the secret place unique and personal memories of deep relationship between the bride and the groom. But sometimes he calls us to run with him to mountains and they can be simultaneous, but in season he calls us to run or he will draw us away to be loved by him and make memories with him, so that in the running we will not turn to the right or the left. The running seasons will make our lovesickness grow deeper more intimate, more real. We renew our minds with the experiences that are found in the secret place and help us know the wisdom of who he is so we will praise and rejoice over him. SOS 1:4 “We rejoice and delight in you, we will praise your love more than wine.”

A blank canvas and a sheer cliff jump This February 2013 school we are running our normal DTS with 3 different tracks; Ocean to Mount, Intimacy to Impacts and ANZAC; have students from 17 different nationalities and more students then we have had previously. Chuck in a new location and running a school by faith; because the fees are free. And you have a canvas that has a bit of paint here and there. You can’t quite see what the picture is but at the end of 5 months we will see I believe a journey of faith and testimonies of beauty, of love, of rejoicing and celebrations, of breakthroughs and profound success. As one of the speakers says if you’re loved by God and you love God back you are a profound success, all the rest is extra. DTS Update: The last few weeks since the school has started I have been so busy organising the hospitality team, making sure we have all the welcome baskets and enough rooms to accommodate all the 62 students plus staff. How amazing that God kept the door open for other students to join even though we had already started the school. Then to start learning about my new role as registrar, emailing people, organising speaker’s accommodation. Also restructuring with a team different things to make us more efficient. And it’s all to the Glory and Honour of Jesus; and in the midst I feel like I have been on a cliff face trying to find a part-time job to pay rent and pay for my expenses; struggling with not being able to provide for myself and relying on the kindness of others and the faithfulness of God. But that time of stress of jumping to an unreachable ledge, a hold in the craves; will soon be over, clarity is just around the corner. My hand almost has its grasp on a sustainable ledge. Oh how the clarity on how to do my job in YWAM with excellence, and to encourage those around me to strive for their best is coming. While all along journeying with my beloved by my side, speaking sweet truths to me, and showing his goodness by blessing me with hope. Testimonies: I want to share two testimonies that God has done for me actually only in the past few weeks. On a Saturday night moving into Sunday I watched a mini -series with a friend called North and South. It’s somewhat like pride and prejudice about a girl in the 1800’s and she fights for justice of those poorer than herself. The main guy is a factory owner and is a hard manager but there is a softness to him. The main girl’s first interaction with the main guy is somewhat abrasive and mean, so she creates a perception of who he is.And when he trys to propose she denies him. Throughout the movie the characters are faced with situations where their beliefs, work ethics and pride are challenged. Misunderstandings, rejection and social etiquette are a huge agenda. In the end they talk to each other and express their feelings of love and come to an understanding; how romantic. It reminds me so much of our relationship with Jesus. How even in this world where there is so much injustice and hurt Jesus reaches out his hand and calls our names; even if we reject him he still gives out his love and gives you a choice to come to him. Oh how his love for us is so great, it says in John that the fathers love is a huge torrent for his son, and that same love is also given to us from the Son and the Father. And we too also have the capacity to receive and give this same torrent of love. After finishing watching this movie I walked home with a smile of contentment and a giddy smile because I know I am loved, and have the privilege to love him back. That night at church after prophesy class I felt the spirit in me and got many visions about different things, Praise God. The preacher talked about breakthrough and being set free and gave an alter call, I went up the front and received prayer. I was prophesied over that I was made to break chains to be free, to fly and soar. That as I contend in prayer God really listens to me and that I will speak in front of authorities to heal, intercede and proclaim the Good News. I also got prayed for that God would breakthrough my faithlessness of trust in his provision for me. Soon after the church I got a missed call and it was a lady wanting me to come in for an interview. I have now had the interview and I have not been successful, but this will not let me be dis-hearted because I know that God has a plan for me and he will provide all that I need. Having this happen has totally made my faith in God grow, I’m believing his promises and holding onto that fact that his truth, his word says I will provide for you because it is for his pleasure and good will to do this for all those that believe and trust in him. A testimony from the DTS: one student has been set free from a class ‘A’ drug addiction and another set free from self- hatred. This week we are learning about the culture of revivial and breaking off pacivity, fear, rejection, unbelief and so many other things that hinder us from spreading the love. Praise God, Thank you Lord for these truths. Prayer and closing words: This is just the beginning of DTS and although we don’t know exactly what is going to happen we have big expectations that God will pour out his Spirit here in Tauranga bringing revelation and freedom to many people not just on the DTS but in this city and across to the nations for the Glory of Jesus. Thank you for your prayers and support please continue to pray for Jesus to be revealed in the hearts of the people I am in contact with. That God would reveal a new revelation of His love and hope to this generation. That he will provide all my needs and my lack of faith will grow stronger. And breakthrough and living in a counter cultural world, would be a common thing here in NZ.

Consecration to Freedom

Consecration to Freedom

Being set a part (sanctified) for a time; prohibiting something for a season; can be hard but also very rewarding. My life has been full of ups and downs broken relationships, hurts, wounds, plasters and bruises in all sorts of metaphoric ways. I chose to setting aside for a season the urge to date; it seems pretty simply to me I wanted to focus on God get that relationship stronger and more concrete. And wow what an experience it is. The battle of my mind to run ahead of God saying 'I know the way', It's like a small child running ahead of a parent but looking back at the parent strolling along at a leisurely pace, the parent watching them but all along knowing the way to go when to turn and when to pace themselves. The child is oblivious to the true knowledge the parent has. Living in a 'its my world, I'll do what I want,' society has it's pros and cons, more and more advertising tells you, 'you need this to be successful . But if we look to the father, God the one who created us, if we truly understood that we are loved by God and if we love him back then we are a profound success, everything else is an extra.

Getting back to the consecration season, before I did my DTS in Feb 2012 I had already commitment to not dating for a year. (I completed this last year) And now I've extended it to another 6 months so that my heart can keep being built up and grow in intimacy with my husband in heaven, Jesus. I know that if God brings a man into my life and he indicates that he wants to marry me then he will wait until this commitment is over. (just so you know there isn't anybody yet). From this consecration season the Lord has given to me much healing and freedom in 'whose I am' in the relationships that hurt and wounded me. I'm more confident to pursue friendships with both genders without the fear or pain entering into the relationship. I have seen with my own eyes the way guys are meant to treat woman as friends/relationships through this community at YWAM Bethlehem.

I believe in this season 'a new year' God has been revealing to me what he has been doing to my heart while I have served and meditated on his word. Such freedom came when I was answered a question, a longing of my heart. I always wondered who I was? But I found that I was asking the wrong question its not about who I am but whose I am? And in a spiritual sense I have learnt that I am a daughter of the King of Kings, beautiful, lovely, caring, an image bearer and reflector of God; through the characteristics he has placed in each of us of himself. Oh the depths of his heart towards his children his thoughts are numerous too many to count. The joy of my heart is to hear what he thinks of me and I pray that you too would ask daily, what he wants to say to you. He's not just some guy that is a master over you he wants to be your friend, lover, husband, companion and so much more. All of this he wants to be for you too.

I'm going to be vulnerable with you and share my latest thought from my heart something that I'm pondering about is 'who is suppose to look after me.' Who is suppose to make sure I'm ok, eating properly having 'me' time? I know this is my responsibilty in part but shouldn't there be someone else that is suppose to be in my life to help as I give love. I pour out the love I have received from God and caring for the people God has placed in the community here at YWAM Bethlehem. I don't get tired of giving love spending time with people helping them find out whose they are, who they are and encountering the love of the father. Guiding, teaching them the truths I have learnt or am learning or can learn from them. I thrive off this passion this desire to see the best in people and pull it out in the safe environment at YWAM. Its so fulfilling to praise the name of Jesus daily with a community of radical lovers to do this job, even if I don't get paid for it, its worth it, its worth the sacrifice that I have made to not live comfortably in this world because I live for eternity not just this world. The reward is so much greater than anything that I can get in this world.

I'm currently looking for a job and would love your pray for this and am in negotiations with a job at the moment so it would be sweet as if you could think and pray that the wisdom of God will be given to the manager of the business. I thank the Lord that he has placed me here for such a time as this to eat from his banquet table to be entertained by him. Not really knowing where he is leading me but knowing as I walk beside him at his pace believing and having faith; absolute trust; that his plans are perfect and he can see ahead of me and knows what to prepare me for, Oh God I delight in you, rejoice in your glory and declare your name as good. Thanks for reading if you have any feedback I would love to hear what you think about me being here at YWAM Bethlehem and all that God is doing in and through my life. For His Glory and the Delcaration of His Name

Saturday, January 26, 2013

So we are under 10 days away from the next school starting. What a blessibg these past two weeks have been for all us staff. God has done many miracles in our lives and the lifes of the students. My role here at YWAM has changed a little I am still in-charge of hospitality and will be supervising this with a team of fantabulous people. I will also be helping to oversea and run the registrar job which includes a lot of emails and communication with incoming students. I am really excited about what God is going to do in this school. We all feel that it will be a school where somethibg big happens, big miracles, big resitution. This is the first time in YWAM history that we are holding a tuition free dts. YWAM Bethlehem is founded on the pioneering spirit and inovative spirit of this land. So a lot of what we do and dream about is made up. A maori proverb says "looking into the future walking backward.' Just do it then look back and see where you can improve or change things. Over the past two weeks we have been learning a lot about being good leaders and seeing how we can actually do this in this day and hour. Learning about change and how it affects everyone, that it is a good thing also that we need it to keep life interesting. Some of the YWAM Bethlehem values for being a leader is get oil- which means keep your relationship with God on fire and commune with him. Thop is very helpful for this. Take responsibility- we need to make sure we are looking after ourselves and others. If you see that the rubbiah needs taking out do it, dont leave it for someone else. And the last one is set the culture- one of the things that we value a lot is being a family and caring and loving on people. This last week we had Frank Naea come speak and inspire us to dream and set a culture of love. He is known for speaking on the Fathers heart. It was amazing to hear his story again and see the love of the father manifested in his life. He inspired us to dream about what we wanted to do in life with or without YWAM being involved. There were ideas of orphanages being started, cafes, schools that involve out-door things like horses and camping. My dream which Ive had since I was about 16 is to open a cafe or something of the sort (Im tossing up between a cafe or bakery) and bringing young people mostly girls but guys can come to to just disciple them and show them skills in cooking. This could be done through setting up a YWAM track/school for this, but I will need to plan and pray a lot about this. Listening to Frank's story again brought up memories and thoughts about my life and how I always thought that I had to do things for God, go to church, attend youth group youth camps, pray and read by bible appear to not sin. But I learnt its not about DOING but BEING the son or Daughter of the King. If i know my identity in Christ that I am loved and have been adopted into his family, then I will act like a daughter, being the person God has created me to be. So instead of doing things because I have to I will do it because i want to, I want to live out my identity that God has predestined me to be. "I know the plans I have for you says the Lord they are plans of a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11). And if God created this world to be perfect to be good then dont you think he would have planned out what he wants us to do/be? Here's a quote I made up of what we learnt in class: 'Oh the lies of the orphan spirit to do this do that work for Jesus. We are called Sons and Daughters of God we are this all you need to do is BE a daughter a son of God. YOu will do what you see the father doing, like Jesus did. If one son could turn the world upside down, how much more do you think we could Do by BEING sons and daughters of the King.' The other speakers we have had this week have been Marty (a kiwi/US) man that has talked on Hippo-campus and how it stores memories either good or bad and that is what we base a lot of things on. Like going into a friendship with a guy if you havent had any successful ones previously then how can you learn to trust new people. But its about taking the plunge and creating good lasting memories even if you slip up a bit, at least you would have tried and kept going. We learnt about the 6 steps to an apology if you've hurt someone or they have hurt you. 1. Acknowledge that you did it, (even if you didn't mean too, don't justify) 2. Admit (be counter cultural) 3. Apologies (say Im sorry) 4. Ask forgiveness 5. Ask if they will hold you accountable so you don't do this again. 6. Ask if there was anything else. I wish I knew this a while ago I think a lot of my fears or lack of confrontation would have been dealt with appropriately. Im really excited about this up coming school and all that I will learn and grow in. Please will you pray that I can find a job and raise support for this season of my life. Would you also pray about how I can help the staff and students to grow in their faith, giving them a awesome experience of NZ culture while seeking the Lord for guidance and understand on where he wants me to go next. Thanks for reading For His Glory and the Declaration of His Name Renee Pearce As a YWAM missionary I raise support to cover my expenses for basic food, lodging and essentials. In addition from this I also raise funds for overseas mission trips that I'm called to. My budget for my basic needs is $200- 250 per week. My overseas trips vary depending on where I go. One of the challenges that I have as a missionary to my own country is finding out who would support me. In church ministry some are called to be missionaries and others are called to support them. So I would ask you to consider being involved in this ministry with me by supporting me. If you are wanting to support me financially there are three options weekly, monthly or an occasional donation here are a few options of doing this: My own account: 38 90080688728 00 Please indicate your name/or business so I can see where the money is coming from thanks. Also you could click on the link below and do it through YWAM (IWT)which would be a tax indubitable way of giving. http://www.idts.co.nz/payments Which can be tax deductible. (also you will need to email Bryan Andrews at the admin@thop.co.nz email and let him know your full contact details and that you will be wanting a tax receipt. Tax receipts are only given once a year at the start of April when the NZ tax year ends.) Would you also consider being a prayer partner with me, in seeing the ministry I invest in grow to fruition as we walk through our daily schedule, developing and encouraging students to grow deeper in their relationship with God, and in discovering their identity in Christ Jesus. There has been many prophesies that talk about the next generation, and how it will be one of change and going against the normal way of society. I believe that prayer and support is a way of investing into the future generation. Doing a DTS helps shape the minds and hearts of the students to know and to focus on Jesus being the centre of it all. Then mapping their life on the need for daily commitment to the relationship with Christ. Being built on a platform of prayer and intercession while being grounded in the truth of God's word. Then going into the world to express God's heart for the nations through the impact God has had on them. If you want to commit to praying for me would you like an email up date or to be contacted another way. I would love to contact you and keep you up to date on prayer needs, and if you have any prayer requests that I could pray for in my time of intercession I would love to do this as we build a relationship together in encouraging and developing lives on fire for Jesus. I praise Jesus for you that he has called you for such a time as this to love one another and share the love Jesus has for the father and the father for Jesus. That we get the opportunity to be in community helping one another out. Thanks again Renee Pearce P.S. if you want to email me my email is: naypearce23@gmail.com
